Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNO): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Iltija Mufti on Thursday said that National Conference (NC) has always legitimized the betrayal done with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and added that they have high hopes on the judiciary with regard to the ongoing Waqf Amendment Act. Talking to reporters here on the sidelines of the function, Iltija, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that everybody is aware of the relationship between former RAW chief A S Dullat and Abdullahs. Dullat has revealed that Farooq Abdullah has privately supported abrogation of Article 370, but is anguished for not being apprised on it. “There was nothing surprising at all as NC has always legitimized the betrayal done with the people. NC is the party with double standards. How the party sought votes on bringing Article 370 when they were part of its abrogation,” she said, the party has already good understanding with BJP. “In 2019, Farooq Abdullah as MP has never talked about abrogation in the parliament. Today, NC having 50 MLAs is not doing its job, however, 3 MLAs of PDP are raising their voice and performing the job which NC was supposed to do,” she added. Asked about the Supreme Court hearings, Iltija said, “We have high hopes on the judiciary, and as Kashmiri Muslims, we will have to protest as the Muslims across the country are keeping their eyes on us,” she said—(KNO)
